Tayactac-Vidanes
March 15, 2008. Everyone was getting frenzy with the 71st Araw ng Davao Celebration and the Pacman mania.
But it was my first wedding project in 2008 for client – inoh tayactac and micmic vidanes.
The preparation at marco polo for the bridal dressing, the solemn and smooth church ceremony at st pauls in matina and the warm and very intimate wedding reception at Davao Convention Ballroom were simply amazing. I dont know why, so when the father of the bride asked me why do we have such a beautiful and smooth flowing wedding– i could only utter — because we planned for it and discussed it for two months and perhaps its FLOWERWORX quality trademark.
the wedding is also very personal to me cause of my affiliation to mic-mic’s tita who happens to be my officemate, beth lee.
after 2 months of extensive planning, finally, the day came and it was all systems go for my team at flowerworx. it was a unique arrangement not ordinary cause for one, the flowers were brought in from manila by one of the bridesmaids, mae. i could not imagine what would happen to me if mae was not around to bring in the most important blooms in the flower decorations – fresh roses of orange, white, pink, etc. and green mums.
Tension filled the event cause my florist and best friend, ramona, was not around but in manila coordinating for other requirements of my wedding especially the bridal bouquet.
Although, a day before that, i prepared everything, brought the gowns and barong to the hotel, supervised the ceiling works done by my good friend, paul and neneng, picked up flowers at puentespina and some calla lilies and rosal leaves at paul and neneng’s shop.
Last minute purchase of materials – floral foam, tie wire, bbq stick, plastic straw and ribbons. good i have one of the best flower arrangers in manila, jun omo, who is getting married on april 5 in tagum city, to help me out and we emerged with pretty bouquet.
My “pagod” was really compensated when i saw the bridal bouquet arranged in manila and sent to davao airport to airport first thing in the morning. it was very beautiful. Imagine, a pink roses with red strawberries as fillers. How about that?
This i want to set the trend in Davao City, for brides to have an edible bouquet. With Fruits and Flowers you never go wrong, it is just a perfect combination.
thanks also to donn gonzales, he is the MAN when it comes to wedding hosting…. You just enjoy him doing his rounds in the wedding reception program….. To those who appreciated our works, daghang salamat. It is indeed a labor of love and indeed, a work of art for FLOWERWORX.
And to inoh and mic2, thanks for the complements and the trust. what we did in your wedding is defined as simple elegance at its best…. no frills and no icings just the beauty of our arrangements.
